145 year ago today

Pickett's charge, so its been called, was broken down by lead and steel at Cemetery Hill, on this day in history. It was another time and another place, today one word sums its up: Gettysburg. Along with the fall of Vicksburg, the handwriting was on the wall.

For a good piece of historical fiction read The Killer Angels. This book has pitch perfect prose.
