It is tough to be a Wingnut these days – Even your Friends are against you!

I support Gun Owners of America, which is a consistent and uncompromising defender of the second amendment, not a weak little girl of an organization protecting itself while throwing everyone else under the bus.

But that’s what the National Rifle Association is doing. You and I are willing to stand together because we know we either stand together or hang separately. The NRA legislative strategy in the past few years has been to hang everybody else so they can be the last man standing.

Erick Erickson Head Honcho RedState Blog

Sounds to me that Erickson is calling out members of the NRA as a bunch of wusses. According to Erickson, at the first sign of trouble, them NRA guys turn, tuck their tail and skedaddle away from the gunfire as fast as they can. Sounds like fighting words as it stands, but Erickson ain’t through:

So if you are a small organization that just started up to defend freedom, you are screwed. But if you’ve been collecting a large file of members for decades off the image of Charlton Heston while repeated screwing conservatives, you’ll be safe.

This is just the NRA not wanting competition for itself. If they were really committed to freedom, let alone the second amendment, they should be encouraging more freedom loving, second amendment loving organizations to rise and fight. Instead, they are collaborating with the left to shut out competition.

Jumping Jehoshaphat...turns out the NRA only cares about collecting its 30 pieces of SILVER? Sonuvabitch!

I say that the NRA can’t let some Tea Party Type like Erick Son of Erick basically call them out as no-good-yellow-bellied-turncoat-wearing scoundrels without a fight now. It would not be honorable to let these slurs stand.

Gentlemen, the NRA must defend its honor or folks might start to thinking that they are a bunch of wusses.

He's Probably got the hang of it by now. So give'em another chance. And with the Supreme Court and the good Lord on his side, why not give it a try. Write in Bush.
