THE GOOD FIGHT: Murkowski to STAND TALL and FIGHT for AMERICA ! ! !

The big news over the weekend was that defeated GOP Senator Lisa Murkowski will continue her efforts toward re-election to her Alaskan Senate Seat as a write-in candidate.

Earlier last week I asked the good Senator a question. Will she:

fight for America or surrender it to these unwashed, unrepentant, unreconstructed and terribly confused Teabaggers?

And Murkowski, who apparently reads this blog, answered loud and clear:

"Alaskans deserve a fighter in the United States Senate who will always stand up for Alaska, who understands our great potential, and has the experience, the respect and the seniority to accomplish that," Murkowski said. "I am that Senator."

Murkowski also took a shot at former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, saying she is "one Republican woman who won't quit on Alaska."

She admitted that she did not go after Miller enough in the primary, something the national party had pushed her to do. But she signaled that was about to change.

"We made some mistakes," Murkowski said. "When he swung, I didn't swing back. Well, ladies and gentleman, the gloves are off."

So, at my urging perhaps, she will continue on against the Teabag fueled and GOP nominee Joe Miller and make this a 4 way race along with some Libertarian Guy and the Noble and Honorable Democrat, Scott McAdams.

Predictably, this news caused a wingnut melt down all in the familiar places. But I think anytime you have a politician who is not afraid to stand up and fight for American values it is a good thing. And that is what Senator Murkowski doing by taking on the Teabag Fueled, and very confused, Joe Miller, who by the way, has recently attacked such venerable AMERICAN traditions such as Social Security and Medicare for working folks in their old age. He has also attacked the kind-hearted American act of showing compassion for the downtrodden and unemployed.

Miller, if he had his way, would scrap our American System that our founding father fought and died to give to us, and replace it with a cockamamie scheme based upon the 10^th Amendment. He apparently believes, I can conclude no other way, that our nation is so imperfect that it needs to be scrapped and sent to the ash bin of history. This is just plain wrongheaded if you ask me. Thankfully, Senator Murkowski agrees with me and will STAND TALL and FIGHT for AMERICA against those who would see her destruction.

Fight on Senator against these unwashed, unrepentant, unreconstructed and terribly confused Teabaggers.
