Erick Erickson Declares Jihad against the GOP (yet again)

This time the RedState Blog Honcho calls it because the Fat Cats on Wall Street and Insiders on K-Street want to install Rep. Leonard Lance (R-NJ) on the House Energy and Commerce Committee:

Let me be clear here: this would be an affront to conservatives of all stripes.

It is bad enough the House GOP chose to ignore conservatives when it came time to choose chairmen of the Energy & Commerce Committee and of the Appropriations Committee.

It is a slap in the face to add Leonard Lance to the Energy & Commerce Committee.

Rep. Lance supports cap and trade.

As troubling, Rep. Lance is pro-abortion.

For those of you who are libertarian and could care less about Rep. Lance’s abortion position, consider this: Rep. Lance sided with the Pelosi led Democratic 111th Congress to fund Planned Parenthood. It is one thing to support killing kids. Quite another to go along with government funding for killing kids.

Whoa - Killing Kids? Erickson makes Representative Lance out to sounds like a real loser.

But why is one’s stand on Abortion enough to disqualify him from the Energy & Commerce Committee. I mean they already have the guy (Rep Shimkus) who thinks Global Warming ain’t a serious thing because God decides when the Earth’s time is up – so why worry. They also have a Guy (Smokey Joe Barton) that does not believe that Global Warming is going on at all, because the Earth is Cooling, instead. I mean they have some serious Wingnut Street Cred built up on that Committee already. Why the objection to one Pro Choice guy?

The Answer:

For those of you who may question why abortion has anything to do with the Energy & Commerce Committee, it is very simple. It is the Energy & Commerce Committee that will oversee defunding of Obamacare, Planned Parenthood, etc.

Yes it’s the Affordable Care Act. Even though this Lance character voted against Health Care Reform he is deemed insufficiently loyal to be a player in sabotaging the Implementation and Funding of the Affordable Care Act through the Committee.

So many litmus tests. So much Anger. But on the other hand, what are the odds that the Fat Cats on Wall Street and Insiders on K-Street stick it Erickson and these Teabaggers again by appointing this guy? It's almost as if they are enjoying doing it.

Its got to be tough being a winger.

UPDATE: Yes I know that on our side of the Dial, folks are unhappy about the appointment of Daley and Sperling by the Administraion. However, I live in REAL America and Report on Happenings amongst the Real Americans as I am on the ground here. I have no time to cover the other beat as well.
