Operation Batshit Alive and Well in
Romney Leads the Field in a recent poll of South Carolina Likely Republican Primary Voters:

| Bachmann | 13% |
| Cain | 10% |
| Giuliani | 6% |
| Perry | 6% |
| Gingrich | 3% |
| Other Fringe Candidates | 6% |
So far so good for Romney and Operation Batshit. But this is still a little close for comfort. What happens if Palin quits the race before she starts or that someone (Gingrich, maybe) gets indicted? There are votes still up for grabs and Rove and Co need to keep the Crazy Vote spread amongst the fringe.
