Tim Pawlenty used to believe in Science and Anthropogenic Global Warming. He even supported legislation to address climate change. But as a candidate to be the GOP Presidential nominee, he now must rebuke the existence of science.
Why? Perhaps this is the reason:
this is the state of the Republican Party now. No doubt Pawlenty tells himself he must pretend not to believe in climate science or else the nomination may go to somebody who genuinely disbelieves climate science.
In other words he is only pretending not to believe in science in order to save mankind from the GOP. This is what it is like being a republican politician.
It is sad really.
